I remember a long time ago you said you had a weight training program you did for dancing.

Anything you can share?

I'm so far far away from my beloved Ultra Gypsy classes and need to do something here to keep me in shape. Can't really find any yoga or pilates yet but for now I can work out at gyms. And am looking for the right martial arts class...

(PS come visit!)

i hope your transition is going well, soo exciting to be immersed in such a forgien place.

i do free wieghts twice a week(just bumped it up from once a week as my strength is increasing)
i like free weights cause they force you to use your core, balance, and each side equaly. try to do as many different types of exercises to really work all the muscles(so you're not just working biceps and triceps but delts, lats, rhomboids, and traps too). really try to stay engaged in your core as you do the work and before you know it you'll get torso/ab work too.

make sure you're warm first- create a routine with stretches you do each time, try to get in all the muscles, legs, hamstrings, hips, lower, mid & upper back, shoulders, and neck, i like moving stretches that work in more of a circular motion so you're intergrating movement. do a bit of cardio- bike, treadmill, rowing, at least 10 min. then do your weights, don't forget to do a cool down routine- try to keep it moving and stretching, then a nice hot shower and something to reward your self like a nice bowl of fruit - take a few minutes to lie down and feel your body.

make a set time you do this, if you schedule it in you'll be more likely to keep with it.

    hope that helps...
