Hi all... I'm so excited to be teaching a new 3- week series at The WorldDance &FItness studio up in Marin.
THE CORE OF TRIBAL FUSION: 3 week series.
Thursdays, March 13, 20, 27th. 6pm -7:15pm. $15/drop in. or $40 for series.
@ World Dance & Fitness, San Anselmo, CA.
To register, or for more info, call me 510-932-2107, or email debrubin3@yahoo.com.
In this series, we will explore the foundation and stylization of Tribal Fusion Bellydance--from the core. Classes will include a brief warm up, including some of deb's 'special stash' of core integration yoga for bellydance:, drilling of isolations and technique, and learning a choreography.
Each week will focus on a slightly different aspect:
Week 1: Engaging the core: Slow and Slinky.
Learn how to achieve that slow, slinky, sultry ooey-gooey look of Tribal bellydance. Focus will be on strengthening the core, engaging the midline, and increasing flexibility in the hips, spine, and shoulders to support controlled, sultry, snake-like dancing. She has often been coined the ‘Queen of slink”. Come learn Deb’s unique tribal stylization!
Week 2: Rocking the core: popping and locking.
Focus this week will be on isolations, shimmies, and up tempo dancing. Choreography learned this week can be done solo, or in conjunction with prior week’s combo.
Week 3: Dancing outside the Box.
Putting it all together, along with traditional ATS techniques and combos to create a true ‘fusion’ choreography.
Hope you can make it!
